Under the Big Top
The first weekend in August each year Isabel plays host to one of the area's most exciting events.  During the Thursday thru Sunday celebration, there is various opportunities for a good time.



Thursday kicks off the weekend the youth timed event rodeo and ladies jackpot.  That night you can  enjoy the steak fry and social in the tent on main street.
Friday is highlighted by motor cross races and capped off with the Isabel All-School Reunion & Dance

 
Saturday is an action packed day with a colorful parade, free barbeque, basketball games, and hobby show.  That night put on your boots and cowboys hat for an outstanding South Dakota Rodeo Association sanctioned rodeo voted "SDRA Rodeo of the Year"  in 2001.  Following the rodeo, head back to the tent on main street for a rodeo dance.

Sunday morning, you can attend the community church service and enjoy a pancake breakfast.  Sunday morning also offers the slack performance at the rodeo grounds.  End the weekend with another rodeo performance of the top cowboys and cowgirls in the area.
